I thought my husband would have a heart attack when he saw how many pieces the product had. I would have not purchased it had I known. Also...It does not flip all the way down like others I had bought years ago.

Difficult to put together. This neither folds down or hides away. Save yourself the money.

This bed rail is very nice in that it creates a barrier on both sides of the bed. Furthermore, it does not clamp to the top of the mattress as many do, so does not reduce the useable bed area and allows the bed to be made much more easily. The hideaway function is also a benefit when it is not in use, or when changing bed linens.

The only thing we do not like about it is the rail latch system. The latch pins are hard to align when locking the bedrail in the up position, and can get in the way when sliding the rail in and out from under the mattress. This could be improved with a locking keyhole slot to hold the pin out when moving the rail up and down.

Overall, it is the best bed rail we have used. Previously we had two different Safety 1st models, both of which were disappointing to say the least.

I am terrible at putting stuff together, but I was able to follow the directions and I am proud to say that I did it! I would recommend this product. The fact that it can be easily slid away under the mattress until you need to use it is a very nice feature. It works on queen and double beds too.

Bought it for 4 yrs old. We went on vacation and I wanted to make sure she would be fine sleepng in a queen bed. Worked great!
The only things, was to put it together took a while, no very easy... but either that, the rail is great!
